Science Transfer

Professional support in the application process is particularly important for universities and public institutions applying for third-party funding projects. This ensures that the knowledge, methods and innovations gained are not only made accessible to a broad public, but are also used in the long term through targeted knowledge transfer and science communication.

With our science transfer services, we support educational institutions in acquiring funding, offer workshops and teaching materials and assist with media production for optimal knowledge dissemination.

How we work

Project_CIBBRINA Fishery.jpg

Knowledge transfer to reduce bycatch

The CIBBRINA project aims to minimize bycatch of endangered and protected species in the North Sea, Baltic Sea and Mediterranean. The part of the scientific transfer was put out to tender and we applied with our evaluated concept of research boxes. Our task is now to develop two different projects, each for two different age groups. We are currently translating the research boxes into various languages in order to disseminate them in different European countries. This collaboration helps to promote sustainable fishing practices and improve the protection of marine ecosystems.

6 research boxes funded by the DBU

As part of a project funded by the German Federal Office for Natural Resources and Life Sciences (DBU), we submitted a successful application together with the Hannover University of Veterinary Medicine Foundation and developed six research kits within five months. These project pieces serve as practical teaching materials for students and have already been used in workshops at public institutions. One of the six research kits is on the topic of conservation options for otters, for grades 5 to 7. The teaching materials for this research kit have already been downloaded 200 times.
